Headed south leaving Lake Champlain
It turned out to be our longest day time-wise and distance for the trip, covering 105 miles in 10 hours, and passing through seven locks. Fortunately the weather was perfect and the temps were in the high seventies.

We took a slip at the Schuylerville Marina for the night. The woman who runs the marina gave us a map of the town and told us about a very nice restaurant "about two blocks away." She didn't mention it was all up hill and her definition of a "block" was significantly longer than what we expected. The walk, about 3/4 mile each way, was worth it though and the trip back at least was down hill.
Morning at the marina with "smoke on the water"
Tomorrow we are out of the locks and onto the Hudson River around the Troy/Albany area and points south. We will have to do an official talley but we think we have covered close to 100 locks in all this trip, enough for a lifetime. No, make it two lifetimes.
