August 17, 2011 - Jamestown, RI to Waquoit Bay, MA

Jamestown, RI

Finally the last day, the run for home. We left the mooring in Jamestown early hoping to get home before the winds come up. We circled Newport and her beautiful mansions and rolled into Buzzards Bay with the winds, what there were, behind us and a favorable tide through Woods Hole.

We arrived at the Waquoit Bay Yacht Club just after 10:00 am, very glad to be home. Mary Ellen met us at he club and we loaded up the car with everything we took aboard for the almost five week journey and Marge headed home and I finished cleaning up Blue Belle. It was a great trip with the usual ups and downs of boat travel and the boat performed exceptionally well.
Over the next few days, since I now have a functioning computer, I'll get the pictures posted to the blog, which should make reading more interesting. After a good night's sleep...
